Apps and software

Software built around your business — and owned by you outright

Off-the-shelf tools make your business fit them. Custom software works the other way round: web apps, mobile apps, integrations and automations shaped to how you work — designed, built and shipped by the team behind AVMint and Partymetro, with a fixed written quote and the source code handed to you.

The problem

When off-the-shelf stops fitting

It starts with one subscription. Then a second tool to cover what the first can’t, a spreadsheet gluing them together, per-seat fees climbing as you hire, and a workaround that has quietly become the workflow. Somewhere along the way, your team started serving the software instead of the other way round.

A tool built for your process changes that. It does what your business needs — nothing missing, nothing in the way — and instead of renting it forever, you own it. And if an off-the-shelf product would serve you better, that’s what you’ll be told at the consultation, along with which one.

What you get

What you can have built

Web apps

Tools that run in the browser for your team or your customers — dashboards, booking systems, internal tools, client portals. No installs, works everywhere, updated in one place.

Mobile apps

iOS and Android apps designed, built and shipped to the App Store and Google Play — the same route Partymetro took from idea to phones.

Integrations and automations

The systems you already use, finally talking to each other — orders flowing into accounts, enquiries into your CRM, reports building themselves. Hours of copy-and-paste, gone.

Platforms and portals

Accounts, payments, subscriptions, admin — the full machinery of a product business, built to be run by you. AVMint’s pay-per-use billing runs on exactly this.

AI features that earn their cost

Assistants, generation, smart search — built where they solve a real problem, skipped where they’d be decoration. AVMint is a working, revenue-earning example, live right now.

Yours outright

The source code in your repository, documented and tested, with nothing rented and nothing locked to us. Any developer could take it on after us — that’s the standard it’s built to.

How we use AI

AI where it helps. Engineering where it counts.

AI has made software faster to build than it has ever been — and it has flooded the world with fragile, unmaintainable code. The difference is judgement about which parts to hand it.

  • Faster building, same standards

AI accelerates the well-trodden parts — scaffolding, tests, boilerplate — so the budget goes into the parts that are specifically yours.

  • Architecture by people

How your system is structured, secured and scaled is decided by a person who will still be answerable for it in year three.

  • Every line reviewed

Nothing generated ships unread. Code is reviewed, tested and documented to the same bar whether a person or a model typed it first.

And where it does notWhat you’ll never get is a pile of generated code nobody understands. Software you can’t maintain isn’t an asset — it’s a countdown. Everything handed over is something another developer could pick up cold.

How it works

Your project, step by step

  1. 01

    Map the problem

What the software must do, who uses it, and what it replaces — agreed in plain English before any technology is discussed.

  2. 02

    Approve a fixed-price proposal

Scope, deliverables, timeline and one price in writing. Where something truly can’t be scoped up front, you get a capped rate and the reason — never a guess dressed as a quote.

  3. 03

    See it working early

A live staging version from the first weeks, so you’re steering something real rather than approving diagrams.

  4. 04

    Launch and learn

Deployment, store submission where relevant, and hands-on training for whoever will run it.

  5. 05

    Own everything

Source code, deployment scripts, documentation and every account credential, handed over in full.

What’s included

Deliverables

Here’s exactly what’s included in every project — in writing, before you spend a penny.

  • The complete source code, in your own repository
  • Deployment scripts and environments, documented
  • Written documentation and a recorded walkthrough
  • App Store and Google Play listings, where relevant, in your accounts
  • Admin access to every system involved — held by you, not us
  • A test suite that guards the behaviour your business depends on

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

What does custom software cost?
It depends entirely on scope, which is why the first step is a free consultation and the second is a fixed price in writing. As a rule of thumb: a focused internal tool costs far less than people expect, a full product platform costs more — and either way you’ll know the number before you commit to anything.
How long does it take?
A focused tool: weeks. A full platform or a store-submitted app: months, with a working staging version long before the end. Your written proposal includes the timeline.
Can you take over software someone else built?
Usually, yes. It starts with a code audit — a straight assessment of what’s sound, what’s fragile and what it would cost to continue versus rebuild. You get that in writing before deciding anything.
Who owns the code?
You do, contractually and practically: it lives in your repository from early in the build. If you never spoke to us again, everything would keep working and any developer could take it forward.
Will you maintain it after launch?
If you’d like — ongoing support is available. But nothing is built to require us: the documentation, tests and handover are done so that staying is a choice, not a trap.
Can we start small?
It’s the recommended way. The smallest version that proves the idea goes live first; you learn from real use, then invest where the evidence points. AVMint itself was built that way.
